"Artichoke on a White China Plate"

The second in my OHMS series had to be this attractive artichoke.  I was really surprised to discover this in our limited produce section in the Oklahoma Panhandle.  I took a lot of different photos to try and capture an interesting angle and finally settled on a downward view.  Since I regard it as more for aristocratic tastes I thought it was suited to be painted on a white china plate.  Now I've got to figure out how to cook the crazy thing even though it got rather bedraggled during the process of painting it.

This is pastel is a larger piece measuring 9" x 13" on Canson MiTienes paper.
